Invincible Africa launches brand newspaper for Cameroon

Cameroon, Douala, 18th of January 2013, Invincible Africa a division of Europe based company, Invincible Group is proud to announce the launch of a brand new weekly newspaper for Cameroon. Cameroon Weekly launching this Friday (18th of January 2013) to respond to the growing demand for a newspaper keen on exploring and engaging with readers via entertaining stories, inspirational features, entrepreneurs, new opportunities, sports, arts, music, film and personal interest stories. Cameroon Weekly will also target the growing number of Cameroonians Abroad via the website (www.cameroonweekly.com ) due to launch on the 21st of Febuary 2013.

Legendary Journalist and CRTV public figure, Tony Tumenta, has been announced as Editor in Chief of Cameroon weekly and will take care of the day to day affairs of running the diverse mix of journalists, advertisers, and building the readership of the newspaper weekly. Tony Mangeh Tumenta brings over 40 years of experience in journalism with a long term career as Senior Journalist and Media Strategist of CRTV (Cameroon Radio & Television), Cameroon’s Number one and longest running (Radio, TV and Newspaper institution) owned and ran by the Government of Cameroon.

“This year (2013) I officially resign from CRTV after several years of a successful dedicated service. It gives me great pleasure to take up the role as Editor-in-Chief of Cameroon Weekly. I am very excited about connecting with the Cameroon Diaspora abroad to ensure that we build a solid readership across Europe, USA, and Asia with the intention of connecting them back home. Cameroon’s per-capita GDP (Purchasing power parity) was estimated at US$2,300 in 2008, one of the ten highest in sub-Saharan Africa. Cameroon has enjoyed a decade of strong economic performance, with GDP growing at an average of 4 percent per year. During the 2004–2008 period, public debt was reduced from over 60 percent of GDP to 10 percent and official reserves quadrupled to over USD 3 billion. Cameroon is part of the Bank of Central African States (of which it is the dominant economy), the Customs and Economic Union of Central Africa (UDEAC) and the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA)

Assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer for Cameroon Weekly is Ambe Adolphine who served for over 25 years and more for US oil company, Pecten. Ambe Adolphine brings with her years of financial experience and pragmatic approach to grow and diversify the brand.
